cUSTOM WEDDING DRESS

Price Range: $2,500 to $15,000

TO THE BRIDE WHO IS LOOKING FOR A SPECIFIC GOWN BUT CANNOT FIND IT ANYWHERE- A CUSTOM GOWN MAY BE JUST FOR YOU. IF THAT IS YOU, PLEASE READ ABOUT THE DESIGNING AND CREATION PROCESS BELOW. WE RECOMMEND YOU START THE CUSTOM GOWN PROCESS AT LEAST TWELVE TO NINE MONTHS IN ADVANCE TO YOUR WEDDING.

CUSTOM WEDDING DRESS PROCESS

Even after trying on dozens of gowns and designs, some brides will still have trouble finding “the one”. The bride may know exactly what they want but can’t seem to find it in any store.

Or, they might have no idea what kind of dress they're looking for and need some help defining style and conceptualizing their dream.

If you find yourself resonating with this, a custom gown might be the right solution to the dress quest. Inspired by your own vision and handmade just for you, a custom wedding dress is a process that results in a truly one-of-a-kind bridal gown.

The process of a custom gown creation all begins with designing your dream wedding dress and is followed by the production.

When you book the first appointment, the ‘creative consultation’, a $300 deposit is due. The fee is non-refundable and will cover materials, gowns, and the creative process for your custom creation.

01 CREATIVE CONSULTATION

This is where your custom gown design process begins; a one-on-one 30-minute phone call consultation with Natasha. The ideal time to reach out for the ‘creative consultation’ is 12 months before your wedding.

Our ‘creative consultation’ is a process to understand what you are looking for in a wedding gown. You will receive a survey to fill out that will give us the information we need before the phone call.

We ask that you send us images; whether that’s your Pinterest Board, Instagram, or a mix of gowns you’ve already tried on. The more information you can share with us the easier it will be.

During the consultation, Natasha will get to know you, understand your vision and help you narrow down the design and style of your dream gown.

The ‘creative consultation’ will take place over a phone call. For brides who prefer email, we have that option available as well.

02 IN-HOUSE DESIGN APPOINTMENT

Once the design elements are in place, we will set up the next appointment for you to come visit us at the shop; Natasha will start to design and sketch your dream wedding dress.

There will be dress samples for you to try on, material swatches to choose from, and a sketch that you and Natasha can work on together. You will be very much part of the dress design process to the smallest detail.

At the end of the designing process you will be presented with the final sketch and price quote. The $300 fee is NOT applied to the custom gown final price.

03 CREATING YOUR DREAM WEDDING DRESS

Custom gown production times can take anywhere from 8-10 months to create your dream wedding dress. During the production, we may receive images showing the current status of the gown.

If there are any design questions, we will reach out to you, the bride, to give recommendations on anything that may need to be adjusted.

Your gown will then arrive in our store first for a quality check and to ensure all of your design elements are there as discussed. We will then call you to let you know your gown has arrived and schedule a time for you to come try her on.

If you are an ‘out-of-state’ bride we will send you your dress after our quality check and you can either come to the store or we will ship it to you.

Few other things to note

Lead and Production Times

Due to COVID-19 lockdowns, we are experiencing longer lead/production times so the more time you allow yourself to have a custom gown made, the better. Rush fees can be offered in some scenarios.

Short engagement

If your engagement is less than 6 months, please reach out and we can check with the production team to see if we have time.

Alterations

Although you are designing a custom gown, alterations may still be needed. When your gown is created in production, the design team will use mannequins that have the same numerical measurement as you. But just because the measurements are the same doesn’t mean it is shaped exactly like you. Common alterations are slight shoulder adjustments, darts in the bust area & bustling your train. We do all we can to get your gown as close to wedding-day-ready as possible. But sometimes you need that finishing touch in person to get the gown properly fitted to you.
