This automatic transcript is brought to you by  AI technology.

They are especially live from South Ordan. Utah over there. I started to yawn as I was saying that, and then I was rubbing off for it. I'd still learned.

Yeah, she's been inhaling too many fumes lately, not only fumes, stress, then arthritis and fumes and fumes combo. Because you have your final on Monday. Well not only that, if you guys are updated on news with the US and the world, you would understand our stress all the tariffs. Yeah, yeah, at some point we'll talk to you guys about it when things actually solidify and quit changing.

Yep. But we're taking a day by day. It's oh, we can do. And it's fun to have people around you who are oblivious saying.

This is gonna be great for us. Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, it's fine. Well we'll survive. Yeah, you know what.

I've already lived through being a you know, nineteen year old adult in the last recession. So once again, I'm well versed. I mean, that's great for you. This is my first as an adult.

I've survived a lot. Okay, do we count. COVID as a little bit of a recession. I would, So I survived that one.

That's fare for the most part. Yeah, well, you know what, We're gonna talk about more fun things than that. Today. We decided to do a recap of New York Bridal Fashion Week.

There might be a part two, depending on if there's any more really good shows that haven't happened. We're recording this on a Thursday, and fashion week technically ends tomorrow. But based on some of the research I did with some of the major like magazines that have been covering it, it seems like all the big things have happened for the most part that we can think of, so I felt like it was safe enough. But we.

I got my resources from The Guardian, which their article is convention Am I reading this right? Yes? Convention defying dresses. So we also have Vogue doing a spring runway trend recap, Bertie with a y Byrde has spring dress trends, another Bride's article as well on fashion trends, and The New York Post doing a trending gown style, so all those will be in show notes. I think Bertie you can buy dresses from them probably. I mean this this is a type of content that has a dress store.

You would want to do for blog content. For seo purposes. Yeah, so it makes sense. Uh, but yeah, I have a whole cute little script.

So let's see if we stick to it. All right, let me crack a little bit. Okay, you ready for this? Yep? Okay, Welcome back to everybody as a bridal body. I'm Natasha and I'm Cassidy, and we are fresh off the virtual runway because New York Bridle Fashion Week just wrapped up, and let us tell you Spring twenty twenty five is all about bold statements, personal expressions, and a little bridal rebellion.

If you're newly engaged or in the thick of planning your bridle, look, this episode is going to give you a full runway rundown, from dreamy fabrics to wild silhouettes and yes, even color. Let's Devin all right, trend number one casts. All right, well, we are seeing a massive shift away from traditional whites and ivories. Designers at New York our Bridal Fashion Week brought in bold hues, thick, icy blues, metallics, even bright reds and rich browns.

And it's not thick, it's think but it's okay, thick icy blues. Listen, So my mad's having kids in. Yet she literally took them like five minutes before it hit the record button, so her brain's catching up. Thick icy blue sounds Okay, I don't know what you're talking.

I don't think I've ever been called thick icy blue, but you know, thank you anyways. Okay, Well, there is a cultural shift happening. More brides want to make a personal statement, and color is such a powerful way to do that, whether it's a blushed undertone or a full on Serrillian showstopper, This is about owning your vibe. Listen, thank god you didn't give me cyrillion.

So Rullian Forever will be the color set in history from Devil War's product, which, if y'all can believe this shit, Cassidy is not watched and it infuriates me. Don't throw me under the bus like that. But Cerulian Blue is Miranda Priestley's like whole bitch to Anne Hathaway's character because she doesn't like fashion, okay and kind of makes fun of it. And Hathaway's character does because she's just like whatever, kind of you know, fashion is stupid.

Then Miranda Priestley does like this whole spill of like back in this year, we did a whole thing on Cerulian blue, and we did like these types of outfits, this, this, and this, like going through like the process. She's like all for it to lee te where you went to essentially like a TJ Max to buy that sweatshirt. So even if you don't think fashion directly affects you, it still affects you. So she trying to claim that she's the pantone in that movie.

Yes, m I mean Anna Wintour, the inspiration from Miranda Priestley. Mmmmm hm. And I was like, damn, that's cool. So Cyrillian Blue will always and forever be because of devil Worth's product.

I feel like that's why that. Word is popular. I wouldn't call it popular. For a millennial.

It is. No, I don't think I've ever heard that come out of my sister's mouth. Well, you know what, I don't know how to answer that question. Anyway.

The one thing I love the fact that there is non traditional colors and hues is we've always advocated to our brides wear the color that makes you feel the most beautiful. Yeah, and we are catching up with the times and realizing wedding dresses is a huge investment. You are investing a lot of money in something that technically, if it's just a plain old white dress you wear once and wear the hell, are you ever gonna wear it again? You can't. I mean you could find ways, but this is very few, far between ways.

Yeah. Oh, doesn't matter what other people think. If you want to wear a black dress, if you want to wear you know, a pink dress covered in florals, If you want to wear you know, something gray, yeah, whatever that color is, just wear it. And if people have a problem with them with it, send them our way and we will inform them why they are wrong.

Absolutely, I'll Dave Bautista bomb themistaka. Alright, let's go to trend number two, dramatic silhouettes and volume. So think got it cast not thicks, but think you got it. Cloud leg skirts, balloon shapes, and our tech are architectual.

Do this you can. I believe in you. You got architectural volume. Great designers win all in on gowns that move with you and feel like wearable art.

It's about presence. Brides are choosing dresses that say I'm here, I'm powerful, and I look amazing doing it. Hell, yes, absolutely be. The Marie Antoinette who was told in her life women should be seen, not heard, and that bit showed up with a cage skirt that couldn't fit through a doorway to make sure that she was seen.

Yeah, I went into my wedding being like, you will see me, and. We saw you. Absolutely. You sparkled, you listened.

I blended everybody, But. We were also in direct sunlight, so we were all just. Blinded in the first place. I tried really hard to make sure that my eyes stayed open and that my makeup wasn't running because the sun was just like, yeah, she showed up that day.

But yeah, we we love love that people just want to be dramatic. Drama's fun. Yeah, and you know, as we always say, it's really the one day you can be as over the top as you want and people will not bad and I. And if they do, why are they there? Yeah? Grow up? I don't know, but I will say this type of dramatic silhouettes that they're talking about, it will lead into a future episode where we're gonna talk about Y two K fashion.

But it is very reminiscent of HY two K yeah, and here I was telling cast today, you know, I was really trying to figure out why why trends from when I was in high school are so popular right now? And I'm like, usually it's a twenty year pendulum, guys. I had to break it to her. If I'm hitting my tenure, she's gonna hit her twenty year. It's fine.

So here we are realizing that the Y two K fashion of two thousand and five is very much twenty years old. Yep. So, but yes, those dramatic silhouett it's had a lot of the Y two K vibe. Yeah, bubble hems, there's.

A lot of bubble limbs, a lot a lot. All right, let's move on to the next trend. Alrighty, here we go for sheer fabrics and ethereal layers. So from sheer corsetree to flowing Organza overlays, we saw layers of softness that feel romantic but not overly sweet.

The vibe is ethereal, but in a grown up lay. Brides who want that dreamy look without going full princess will love this absolutely. I will say organzas were making a comeback probably the last year and a half. Yeah, Organza is a fabric that we personally have a vendetta with.

Yeah, but if it's done right and it is actual silk based, not like plastic plastic acetate, not like polyester fake. It is actual silk. That fabric is stunning and it is beautiful and. I love it.

I don't know if I've ever felt it. Oh my god, it's just I don't think so. No, I don't think you have it. It's beautiful, and it's expensive because silk is not cheap, right, But sometimes it's hard to get that really nice organza that feels good, that doesn't make the audible sound.

It's audible, it's textural. It's awful. And I will say when if an organza gown is done well and you see them walking, they look like they're floating on a goddamn cloud. They look they just look like they're floating, And it's really that yet, So it's because you blind yourself to it.

You got your blinders on. It's also one of the hardest fabrics to get to steam properly. It's just hard to relax. Yeah, it really is.

Yeah, so it's taffaa don't do that shit. But if Y two k the fashion is coming back, We're gonna say a lot to Tafaa. Yeah, it's bound to happen. Yeah, not definitely.

But if you are into those sheer fabrics and more ethereal style, like if you like the Elvish vibe, if you like the garden fairy vibe, any type of whimsy magical concept dresses like this are really great. I will say I like organza construction better, especially if you're having an outdoor wedding, because tool that like netting can catch and run so easy. Yeah, that having something with a little bit better construction in the way it's woven is better. Yeah, but there are some really cool playful things.

So I'm sure if you go down in a rabbit hole of TikTok or Instagram rails, you can see some of these trends. See how these dresses flow and vibe. But just as a reminder, the things you're starting to see on runway right now, most stores will not have for another like four months to six months if they're doing orders right now. Yeah, so this is for more people are going to start planning in a summer in an early and getting married.

Sometimes getting up to next year. Yeah, well not even beginning of next year more like summer of next year of twenty. Six, because it depends on when they order and what designers and not what they can get it in and depending on tariffs what we deal with. We're not saying the T word right now.

Well, I think it's been coming out of our mouth every day, so it has been. People need to know about what's going on in order to plan for what's going on. But our next trend is vintage inspired details. Hell yes, but.

Some of this I feel like isn't necessarily new. It's been in well, it's been in since fall, yeah, and I think it's just carrying over because it it's not necessarily it's it's more trendy than a little black dress, but it's still kind of staple, right baseline like little black dress, right, And I think the stuff will be around for a little bit. Yeah. So we saw some drop waste corsets and dramatic puff sleeves are back, but they've been reimagined with modern fabrics and fits.

It's giving editorial means heirloom perfect for brides who want a timeless look with just the right amount of edge. This type of trend is something that if you if you like, whatever's trending. You're not a classic bride, You're like, give me whatever is relevant in the time I'm getting married. This is the style you should be looking for.

Right. If you want something more timeless, more elegant, this is gonna feel too specific to the twenty twenties or the early two thousands or the early nineties, you know, every like twenty years as things are circulating. Right, this isn't for you. But if you are one of those girls that you're like, I want the aesthetic.

I want my wedding to go viral online. I want to look like I came from a magazine. Yeah, these are the trend you need to look for. You need to look for those drop waste, those basque waste, the corset like lace up tops and those puff sleeves.

Just very like, like it's mentioned, it's very modern. Yeah, historical, but like you look at it and you can be like, wow, did you just like come out of marintoinette time? Did you just come out of you know, the seventeen hundreds, because you're giving seventeen hundreds. Yeah, No, it's definitely there. Something out of my historical romance novels I haven't read of one of those in a hot minute.

No you haven't, I need to. I'm just stuck on my billionaires right now. Stupid hot billionaires. Gosh, they're such assholes.

I mean, I guess I watch them every weekend, so I guess you'll read them every week. Yep, all right, and here is our final trend statement accessories. So we saw looks where they were styled with oversized bows, pearls, draped veils, gloves, headbands, you name it. Accessories are becoming part of the main event.

It's not just about the gown anymore. It's about curating a full look, which we've been seeing the really cool like on Instagram. Is it wed look or wet Vibes. I think it's wet Vibes that keep sharing all of the like really cool floral like bouquet purse shit where it's like the gold architectural piece that you hold, but like there's all the lilies hanging from it.

Shit. I have not seen who has shared it. I've just seen them. I'm pretty sure wet Vibes was only one that pays attention on Pinterest to who has show.

No, this is Instagram, think you not Pinterest? Oh? Even then, This is how I know I don't have ADHD. I read things definitely don't. I know you don't, but I will say statement accessories are huge right now, and it's really fun to see that people are doing and wanting a dramatic veil look. That feels like when especially in the veil, they just like it doesn't have a comb and they just hang it over the face, like she looks like a spooky ass ghost and I'm here for it.

Or just like this beautiful, elegant goddess. I'm like, if I was just drip that over my face, I don't think I'd look like that. No, I'd look like I got like a mosquito net on my face. Or alashes would get stuck.

Yeah. And then like oversized bows like I've been seeing that in just like all the normal decoration, Like for Christmas, everybody had a giant goddamn bow on their tree. Did you see that? No? Oh my god? Like the bow it is like the worst nightmare. As someone who was born, I get it.

It was the final year of the eighties, but it was still the late eighties, and then in the nineties bows were still relevant. Bows like that give me nightmares. Okay, yeah, but like giant ass bow. They were doing the bow garland, like showing you how to diyatt because wherever the herup did do the bow garland.

Yeah, but like people were doing dramatic bows, and then for Valentine's Day they were still doing the dramatic boats. I don't know what it is about a bow. I will I don't know. I will bold face lie.

If somebody loves the bow, I'm a girl, get it. The bow looks amazing because they love it, and it's that's for them. Me. I would not be caught dead with a boat.

No, there are so many other things in this world that is a trend. I will never understand. Yeah, don't understand both. But you like the bow cape.

The bow cape is cute because but it's a bow. It but the way it's put together, it doesn't look like a bow. You know what I mean? Have you seen the back of it? Yes, it looks like a bow, I mean yes, and no, Okay, the bow cape doesn't bug me because it doesn't feel like I got this giant bow hanging off my ass. Like look at the eighties and nineties and it's like literally pinned right above the butt crack right, and it's just hanging there and I'm like, but why right, Like I'd rather have a bustle butt Oh, then a bow.

No, I think I'd rather take a bow. But I'm really I really struggled with bustles. But that's me, and I'm talking like actual bustle butts, not when it was like you're talking like the Victorian era. Yeah, I never tried them, so I don't know.

I guess because I already got a badonka donk back there. Adding a little more volumes not a big deal to me. Yeah, but you would think that I would want that, then I guess it's fair. I don't know.

Anyways, that's my rants about MOS. These are no random things like out through my head. I love it. Okay.

So for quick recap, we did a trend one non traditional colors and bold hues. Trend two was dramatic silhouettes with volume, Trend three sheer fabrics and ethereal layers, Trend four vintage inspired details, and finally Trend five the statement accessories. All of that information will be in our show notes, like I said, with articles that we captured the information from. But these are great keywords you could use if you're searching, like I said, Instagram TikTok because reels and videos are just trending so much that if you type those words in things should show up.

Pinterest always still a good place to look for things. Google great place to look for things. But those are great trends that if you are thinking that you're gonna start planning for a wedding soon, you know, an engagement might be coming this summer or fall, you know what, start looking now online, Start making lists of things you like, keep your eyes open, save content, you know, research stores. Start doing that stuff now you don't have to do once that rings on your fingers.

Start thinking of things ahead of time. Yeah, now, definitely plan ahead because we also don't know what timelines could look like in the next months. That is fair. I don't know how timelines are going to change.

Pricing it's definitely gonna change, yep. So we are are trying to live in the future without knowing what it looks like. We don't have a crystal ball yet, guys. Yeah, no, it'll be interesting.

So whether you're drawn to color corsets or gutor level accessories.
